Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Virginia and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. Following the completion of his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland, Dr. Chen practiced primary care at Penn Medicine Valley Forge and inpatient medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Chestnut Hill Hospital. In 2013, Dr. Chen completed training in acupuncture through the Harvard School of Medicine. Transitioning to Johns Hopkins in 2014, he continued teaching and practicing primary care, osteopathic manual medicine, and acupuncture; while notably establishing the first integrative medical practice at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Chen has a passion for teaching and is an Instructor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is an integrative osteopathic physician who is excited to bring his passion for whole-person care to Restore Health Center.
