As we age, the natural volume of our youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds settle in. Dermal Fillers instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away deep lines and facial creases. The most common areas treated with Dermal Filler are nasal folds (the crease that runs from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth), lips and cheeks. The results are immediate with minimal downtime.
Our Dermal Fillers:
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Consist of an injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid, a simple sugar made by the body. It is known as the ‘skin plumper and moisturizer’. It typically lasts from 6-18 months, depending on the type of HA filler. While HA fillers restore volume and fill in hollows they do not stimulate collagen formation within the skin as other types of fillers do. Our HA fillers include Juvederm Vollure, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volbella.
Calcium-based Dermal Fillers:
They are made of a material similar to that of our teeth and bones (calcium hydroxylapatite). The compound is formed into tiny spheres 25-45 microns in diameter (smaller than your white blood cells), then suspended in a water-and-glycerin gel. It provides immediate volume where placed. Over the following three months the gel gradually breaks down and is eliminated while the remaining calcium hydroxylapatite particles are infiltrated with collagen from your own skin. Hence, it is called a ‘Collagen Stimulating Dermal Filler’. At around the two year mark the calcium compound and the intervening collagen are both breaking down and diminishing in volume.
We offer calcium-based filler, Radiesse, which is ideal for treating deeper lines like nasolabial folds and for restoring volume in the cheek and temple areas.
Long-term fillers last 3-7 year and are also collagen stimulators.
Sculptra actually comes as a powder and has to be mixed a full two days prior to injection. Once mixed, it is committed to you – which is why we require prepayment. It is a powerful collagen builder that lasts three years and looks very natural. Aside from fat transfer, it’s the only reasonable way to fill in the broad concavities of the temple or the cheeks that occur in slim individuals as they age (“runners’ face”). It does not provide instant volumization but requires a few weeks to work. Remember, collagen stimulation is a PROCESS.
Bellafill is made up of 20% PMMA microspheres (implant material used in the medical field for decades) and 80% bovine collagen. The collagen in Bellafill provides immediate volume and lift while the PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a matrix that supports collagen production in your skin for lasting improvement. Bellafill is also the only filler FDA-approved for the correction of acne scars
Botox Wrinkle Reducer
Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into the muscles of the face, including the forehead, around the eyes, between the eyebrows, around the mouth, and in the neck to improve wrinkles, frown lines, and neck bands, to achieve a smoother more relaxed and youthful appearance. Specifically, when injected with an artistic eye and an understanding of facial anatomy, Botox can be used creatively to lift the brow and open the eyes, rejuvenate the mouth and lips, and shape the contours of the face. Botox injections to the face are often combined simultaneously with soft tissue fillers to provide total non-surgical rejuvenation.
